Objection: They're Watching You

How to stay safe while protesting in the surveillance age

You have the right to protest.
But the state doesn’t want you to feel safe doing it.

Law enforcement is tracking people who show up—from your phone, to your face, to the DNA on your discarded coffee cup. They monitor what you post, who you’re with, how you got there, and where you go next.

They say it’s about public safety.
But we know the truth: it’s about control.

That’s why I made this video—because we still have the right to be in the streets. And we deserve to be there without being targeted, tracked, or harmed.

In this video, I break down:
📱 How to lock down your phone
🚗 How to avoid travel surveillance
🧢 What to wear (and what not to)
📷 How to legally record police
🧬 Why you should never leave trash behind
🚨 What to say (and what to never say) if you're arrested

These aren’t abstract concerns. This is real. This is happening. And these are things we can do to keep each other safer.

So if you're heading to a protest, planning one, or just trying to show up better in this moment: watch, share, and spread the word.

We show up for each other.
Let’s make sure we all make it home.

In solidarity,
Eliza
