Absolutely disgraceful and utterly appalling, although entirely unsurprising coming from that narcissistic sociopath and all of the corrupt, villainous degenerates he surrounds himself with.
I cannot wait for justice to eventually be served! Fuck Donald Trump.
WHen this EO hit yesterday, it was clearly the next step in trump's campaign to remove the unsightly from the streets and towns of our country. There are not institutions set up that can properly care for those with mental health and drug problems, so it seems clear that more concentration camps will be established and filled with not only mentally impaired and drug users, but those who have had economic misfortunes that left them homeless.
I am appalled at how little the media has picked up this EO and it's potential harm-which is immense! Imagnie ICE gestapo tactics being used on homeless Americans!!!
Thank you for saying how it really is with this EO. I read it yesterday and thought immediately of N@zi Germany and the rounding up of those deemed mentally ill, disabled, and the followed by LGBTQIA+ and others, keeping in mind that right-wing rhetoric calls LGBTQIA+ people mentally ill. This is the next stage in their authoritarian takeover of our country.
I would love to hear you do a full breakdown of the EO.
So, after cutting Medicaid and SNAP, and HUD housing, now they are going to criminalize being poor, when they are the ones making people poor in the first place??? Make it make sense.
Can any federally funded mental health organization be trusted at this point going forward? For example, 988 is federally funded, and there has been a lot of grief over the loss of the lgbtq youth program and not enough attention at all on the Trans Lifeline report on the problems with 988, lack of informed consent, and increasing coercive practice and involvement with law enforcement. What are organizations accepting this funding going to be forced to do to continue receiving it and what are the impacts?
I’d invite you to take a few minutes and read it. It’s not like you need a law degree to see the implications in depth. It kind of has the air that it was written by someone not very literate with writing law. The addenda is quite clear.
Thank you so much. You are so correct. This is not “helping “ people. This is the next step in oppression and social control. I am a licensed psychologist practicing for over 50 years in Pennsylvania. I worked in a “youth development “ center for kids adjudicated delinquent I left there realizing that the focus was to not so much to help kids but simply to remove them from their community. I took a job in one of the first crisis intervention centers whose stated goal was to provide least invasive alternatives to hospitalization. I worked there for eleven years and can attest that goal was a myth as it interfered with the profits of the mental health industry. I hung in there naively believing that I could make change in this system. After much frustration, I sent a letter to the state mental health office expressing my frustration and documenting what I saw as illegal and unethical acts . That weekend after ten years of positive performance evaluations, I was “ terminated “. Thank you for what you are doing. I have always had a deep respect for public defenders.
I would like to add to my recent comment that in the elevenworked in crisis intervention I think that there were perhaps a handful of involuntary commitments that were carried out that actually met the so called criteria. I feared that this justification to bypass due process required in “ regular “ law would be extended to other areas. And here we are.

Thank you Eliza.
This is another POS set forth by Trumplicans, MAGA and Project 2025. Send out the alarm. This is not false ‼️

What about people/families, who can afford housing and live in their cars.

What a read. Yeah, setting the stage. It’s time to stop pretending there is anything normal about this criminal pedophile slob’s illegal orders.
Everyday I wait for the headline "Ding Dong the Witch .....:
So back to 18th century?
While many homeless are jobless there's still many that are not jobless just homeless.
This is very disturbing, thank you Eliza for your voice.
i’d like to know more. you said you could offer more info about how bad this is gonna get.
