Today, July 15th, the House of Representatives voted 211 to 210 to block a motion that would’ve allowed debate—and a vote—on making Jeffrey Epstein’s files public.
It failed by one vote.
Every single “no” vote came from a Republican.
Nine Republicans didn’t vote at all.
But not one Republican supported transparency.
Ask yourself:
Why?
What’s in those files that they’re so desperate to keep hidden?
These are the same people who love to talk about “law and order.”
Who claim to be the defenders of children.
Who demand accountability—until it threatens the rich, the powerful, or their own party.
If those files exposed immigrants, protesters, or poor people?
They’d be broadcast 24/7.
But billionaires? Donors? Political allies? THE PRESIDENT, perhaps?
They shut it down.
This isn’t a conspiracy theory.
This is what it looks like when power protects itself.
When justice is reserved for the powerless—and secrecy shields the powerful.
So let me ask again:
What are they hiding?
We deserve answers.
The public deserves the truth.
And the survivors of Epstein’s abuse deserve justice.
📣 Call to action:
Tag your member of Congress.
Demand transparency.
Demand the release of the Epstein files.
And make sure everyone you know sees what the House GOP just did.
I won’t stop speaking out.
In Solidarity,
Eliza
