Eliza, thank you so much for sharing this and breaking down these important cases. (The Supreme Court is a useful tool to advance fascism)

Thank you so much for reading—and for naming that hard truth. The Court has become an incredibly effective tool for advancing far-right ideology under the guise of law. I’ll keep breaking it down as clearly as I can, and I’m so grateful to be in this fight with people like you.

I enjoy being educated by you, but I am not looking forward to tomorrow’s decisions.

I completely understand—and I’m right there with you. These decisions carry real weight, and the anxiety is real. I’m grateful you’re here, staying informed and engaged. We’ll face whatever comes next together.

I have been anxious most of my life, and finding ways to regulate the nervous system have proven to be tough, circumstantially. That’s mostly why I’m here, listening to you. You deliver it to us plainly, and for me, there’s a comfort in your voice.

Hell yes, we will face this together, (long distance) hand in hand.

I feel like we are headed into Marxist territory, as these decisions, and buffoons shape our lives in ways we’ve never wanted.

I fear the 6 radical right judges will vote in favor of t-Rumps choices! UNFAIRLY to citizens, UNJUSTLY to our constitution!

Totally hear you—and you’re not alone in that fear. The pattern we’ve seen from this majority has raised serious concerns about fairness, precedent, and whose rights are being prioritized. It’s why staying informed, vocal, and engaged is more important than ever. I’ll keep breaking things down as clearly as I can—thank you for being here.

Thanks, but my biggest fear is, with these judges in SCOTUS who tend to bow and lean towards t-Rumps decisions, WILL WE EVER have 'fair' judgements made? I'll NOT stop protesting unless our judicial system makes extreme changes that ALLOWS fairness FOR ALL! Keep up the fight, we need MORE like 'us' speaking out!

Eliza, can you please clarify birthright citizenship case? Is it merely a ruling on a lower court’s ability to enjoin other lower courts from its ruling, or will it be a ruling about the constitutionality of the 14th amendment?

The reporting about this hasn’t clearly separated these two issues.

Great question—and you’re totally right that the reporting has been confusing.

This case isn’t about the constitutionality of the 14th Amendment or a direct challenge to birthright citizenship itself. Instead, it’s about whether a federal district court had the authority to issue a nationwide injunction blocking Trump’s policy targeting certain immigrants’ children.

So while the core issue is technically about judicial power, the reason it matters so much is because limiting nationwide injunctions would make it harder to stop unconstitutional or harmful federal policies quickly—especially in a future Trump administration.

Appreciate you asking this and staying engaged!

Thank you Eliza, I find you so comforting to listen to and watch in how you explain issues so well and with compassion. I’m absolutely dreading today, I’ve got no confidence in the Supreme Court following the Constitution anymore.

That means so much—thank you. I know how heavy things feel right now. You’re not alone in that dread. It’s hard to hold onto hope when the highest court in the land seems to ignore the very Constitution they’re sworn to uphold. But I promise: I’ll keep showing up, explaining what’s happening, and fighting for a system that actually protects people. We’re in this together. 💛
