CNN spent months inside a hidden online world where men teach each other how to drug and rape their partners. The website at the center of it had 62 million visitors last month.
There aren’t enough words in my vocabulary to deal with the bitter evil reality of what men are capable of doing to women they are supposed to love & care for. The fact that so many men come to just look & watch makes it even more horrifying.
They’re psychopaths. Decades ago they would have abused their wives in other ways, or become serial rapists, child rapists, etc. More stayed hidden back then because there weren’t cheap video cams and women weren’t believed as readily.
WTF. The fact that so many of these men are married to the women they are doing this to...meaning they COULD have normal, willing sex with them but go through all this, including knowingly risking going to jail, just bc they get off on the very idea of being able to do whatever they want to a woman rendered totally and completely helpless and powerless...is just beyond words.

As a (hu)man, I am physically sickened at the thought that ANY man is capable of this. I am forced to accept that this exists, though it is monstrous, sick, and evil. Public castrations without anaesthesia would be a good start. Words fail.

It’s just horrific and heartbreaking that men would do these sick things, record them and profit from them. Why is this allowed? There needs to be global cooperation to stop this from happening. I cannot believe that there is nothing that can be done.
I have reached the point that I will not engage or even make eye contact with men in stores, on walks, while driving, etc. I am an extrovert, but I assume they are not worth my energy or time.

Yes. That this reflects actual partnered relationships is so incredibly dispiriting. That there is an international level culture of males actively sharing among them advice, actions, business, and what? that is focused on the repeated rape of their drugged partners, and that there are those who are feeding this 'industry' is so thoroughly beyond wretched. Retching and majorly alarming.
The failures of trustworthiness of men, of men having to do with sex, and of men with their partners, no less, I find just shattering.
Over a long life, I have consciously held compassion for the vulnerability of men. They can know nothing of giving birth, which, I believe, existentially gives women the gift of truly knowing life-dependent connection. But finding out about this, the cultural-level destructive entitlement of men abusing their actual partners in this way makes me too sick to consider any further right now.
But to respond: RIGHT! Seriously critical questions include: What do societal repair? and accountabilty? look like? What does interpersonal insight, awareness, loving connection, AND accountability look like? How can we better nurture trustworthy connections within, between, and among all of us humans, given these painful atrocities, and also the swamp of lies, hypocrisy, exploitation, and downright corruption of which we are currently aware ? Certainly we must begin with ourselves - at the least. Sick shit. I am floored for the moment.

How does society fix this? First we need to gain a full understanding of why…the causes of this behavior.
I’m no psychologist, but I have feeling some it stems from some childhood trauma/experiences, prior sexual abuse or even adolescent trauma/abuse. A strict upbringing in a religious zealot home environment. Some may come from a mental/moral deficiency at birth. What causes such deviant tendencies/ behaviors?
And since it’s 62 million men, it’s something in our society…
And it’s something we need to find the causes, and start to remedy these causes as fast as possible.
These are really sick demented individuals…they are evil & have absolutely no moral compass.
The remedy /punishment must be castration & time in a prison mental institution.
