You're not wrong. Trump and associates have also openly planned to do just this and vowed to follow through during the election. He promised vengeance, retribution and a DOJ that would pursue his enemies. People listened to that and voted him in anyway. Trump, like Louis XIV, believes and continues to declare “I am the State.”
Question tho, so is there no way to remove people who clearly don't understand their job?
Like I've seen when they put some people in, they question them, and could not accept them if they answer bad..
But, like the bar association, they do lawyers right? And as you said it seems pretty obvious they don't understand their appointment and duties, so.. ?? Can't they just fire them?
Or can y'all sue the bar for not pulling them based on lack of education or understanding?
Cuz I completely believe you and am only wondering!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support.
Great question—unfortunately, removing federal prosecutors is incredibly difficult. Unlike elected district attorneys, U.S. Attorneys (the top federal prosecutors in each district) are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. Lower-level federal prosecutors (Assistant U.S. Attorneys) are typically career employees, not political appointees, so they stay on regardless of who’s in office.
There is some oversight—the Department of Justice (DOJ) can investigate misconduct, and the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) reviews ethical violations. But as you pointed out, if a prosecutor fundamentally misunderstands their role or misuses their power, there’s not an easy way to remove them unless they commit outright misconduct. The bar association does regulate lawyers, but they rarely disbar prosecutors unless there’s clear, egregious misconduct (and even then, it’s rare).
The best way to hold them accountable? Public pressure, media scrutiny, and pushing elected officials—especially the president and Congress—to demand better oversight of the DOJ. And, of course, voting matters. The people selecting these prosecutors (presidents and senators) need to know that we’re paying attention.
I love that you’re thinking about this—because the more people demand accountability, the harder it is for bad actors to keep flying under the radar!
I do have some cool ideas to get us all out of this mess, and can be as easy as starting a new business, and I'm donating lots to bring funding, just need tiny bit of help on organizing!? I've sent you dms.. hope you'll consider. Could be had, and change the world in a month!
But the news is less than encouraging.. I mean like, what if they walk past a construction zone, and a 2x4 falls and so they don't even seem connected with reality.. they come in saying like, the defendant needs a sword and shield?? Or forget their job..
Not a knock on you personally, but the system seems lacking if there are no intelligence tests to help people remove the ones that fall off the path, I mean I'd think some drug use could create misunderstandings too, but you can't check for that or nothing huh??
I only ask, cuz if only the Prez can remove, I'd bet he says they are great, even if they are eating their checkers..
Just seems a servant of the public, should be verifiable or removable at any time..
Oh but for sure you always give lots of thoughts!! Very informative indeed!
I hear you. The speed at which things are escalating is alarming, and the fact that so many people are unaware—or worse, actively misled—makes it even more dangerous. It’s not just about one person like Ed Martin; it’s about a broader movement that thrives on disinformation, extremism, and dismantling democracy piece by piece.
The fact that Missouri has shifted so far right isn’t just a fluke—it’s the result of years of strategic efforts to suppress votes, manipulate the courts, and flood the information space with propaganda. And you're absolutely right: too many people don’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late.
That’s why I keep speaking out, and I’m so grateful for people like you who are paying attention. The more we educate, expose, and push back, the harder it is for them to keep getting away with it. We have to keep fighting—because they’re certainly not slowing down.
